We where very lucky the day that my wife found your website, and we ordered the two tours.
You have, as we see here in your guestbook, arrange and guided “the best tours” that it is possible to get. We all enjoyed the trips very much. Even a car break down (reason: “the Mercedes safari or the road down to little fishing harbor”) was taken with great humor. You manage also to do the different jobs at the sights so as bartender at the liquor distillery or at the Tee Plantation, not to mention the Ananases farm.

Also you are god with surprises: “Homemade coffee just when needed at the most, and that in between to lakes”

We have already recommended you and your website to a lot of people.

The best wishes to you from the four “jydske bonderoever”. We had a wonderful vacation in week 22-23 of 2007

We want to thank you for the two marvellous days we spent with you in your taxi where you showed us the most wonderful places of your island and shared some of your great knowledge with us. As I said to you when you shared your coffe with us by the lake at Sete Cidades I could not tell if I preferred Tour 1 or Tour 2 as they were so very different.

We certainly did right chosing to drive with you instead of going with the travel agency on their trips. We also were greatly entertained by your tricks and your jokes about blondes. (Unfortunately you did not succeed to get mr. Lejf stop smoking.)

I did what I promised; went straight to the computer to check out your webpage. Very nice, I must say. You have lots and lots of beautiful photos! But I only give the page a 9 out of 10... With a little layout help from me it might eventually reach a 10 though!

Mycket tack för en fantastiskt tur runt Sao Miguel. Kanske något dyrare än bussturerna, men mycket mer att se och uppleva. Att vi bara kom fram på alla små och slingriga vägar. Högt uppe i bergen och långt nere vid havet. Runt sjöarna med dess fantasktiska växlighet. Allt värt ett återbesök.

Att han dessutom kan rekommendera bra restauranger är givetvis ett extra plus. Sao Pedro i Ponta del Garda var ett mycket bra alternativ. Sedan kan jag också tillägga själv att åka till Lagoa och gå på fiskrestaurangen i hörnan vid hamnen (billigt och gott).

Hi Ricardo

Thank you so much for an unforgettable day on the island.  We thought the scenery was stunning and really appreciated the trouble you took to show us some of the less well-known parts of the coast. Your enthusiasm and knowledge gave us a great understanding of your island home and we left with wonderful memories of a truly beautiful place which even the odd rain shower couldn’t spoil.  It was just a pity that our camera gave up half way through but I've had a look at the photo collection on your new web site and may well copy some of those - at least you got blue sky in yours!

Thank you also for calling us the next day from Sete Cidadas to give us the weather news.  It was so reassuring to know that it was clear after our previous attempt had been abandoned due to the rain and we really appreciated your thoughtfulness.

(The jokes were great, too, but I think we got our own back with the tongue twisters!

Brilliant tour of the Povocao and Nordeste region of Sao Miguel. My 87 year old mother, who uses a wheelchair, was absolutely delighted with the trip. She is telling everybody about it at home by telephone. She and I recommend that anybody, young or senior, would be very pleased by having a tour with Ricardo.

Our private tour with Ricardo was one of the highlights of our Princess cruise in Nov. 2006. We had a very memorable day touring his magnificent island. We very much appreciated Ricardo's honesty when he said he could not take us to see the caldera lakes because they were in the clouds. Friends who took the ship's tour saw nothing and were very disappointed. On the other hand, Ricardo took us to fabulous locations which were at lower elevations and not clouded in. We have excellent photographs. We recommend Ricardo very highly. It was a fabulous day!

Andrew, Tony, Sarah and I took a tour with Ricardo and it truly was Amazing. Ricardo was so friendly and helpful, he really made the trip special. He showed us some amazing views and places that we would never have found if we had rented a car and tried to tour the island ourselves. Ricardo is also very knowledgable about the island, so could tell us so many intresting things. His sense of humour however kept us groaning all day, but his enthusiasm never waned and he made it a truly memorable day for us. We would highly recomend taking a tour with Ricardo, and we will certainly be doing so again when we return to the Azores. Ricardo was also very helpful the next day when the boys were let down with a quad bike trip and had nothing to do. Ricardo came to the rescue and asked some of his friends to take the boys fishing. Thanks again Ricardo you really are amazing. We are looking forward to going "Fish Shooting" with him on our next visit. Be sure to ask Ricardo all about shooting fish.

We visited Ponta Delgada in May 2006 and had prebooked a tour with Ricardo. We had a fabulous tour and a very entertaining afternoon. Ricardo was really helpful and interesting and although we were 2 hrs late docking he still managed to take us to some really beautiful places on the island. I would recommend his tour to anyone who enjoys good scenery and friendly company, I was travelling with my husband , sister and brother in law and we all agreed Ricardo was the BEST !!!!! BEST !!!!

You really get Amazing tours when you go with Ricardo. We booked one day from home, but within the first hour of the tour, we booked Ricardo for one more day. He is a fantastic story-teller, has humour,knows a lot about his island, good driver and he speaks so good "Skandinavian" that you sometimes forget to speak english with him. We recently made a port call at Sao Miguel and decided against the cruise ship's overpriced shore excursions. We opted also not to rent a car, but to "rent" a taxi for a few hours and didn't have to worry about a route/site plan, getting lost, or negotiating traffic on narrow roads. In addition, we got an excellent guide to give us all the info about the island and local issues we wanted. But make sure you get a driver who speaks English, or a language you understand. If it's English, try Ricardo Amorim. He speaks English very well. You may contact him on his web site: www.amazingtours.se. He drives a comfortable, recent vintage Mercedes - comfortable for up to three travelers.”
