"Full Day"

We drive northwest from your hotel to the village of Sete Cidades, where the famous crater of the volcano with the same name, (also called The “Twin Lakes”), is located. This is one of the highlights of the island.

There are innumerable opportunities to photograph this wonderful landscape all the way to the crater. After the “Twin Lakes” we continue down to a very small fishing village in the same area where fantastic natural pools are located. After the fishing village we continue to Ferraria, if the sea is calm and the tide is right it is possible to swim in the ocean here where the water temperature can be 45º C or more.

You could wait until we reach another volcano, Lagoa do Fogo, the “fire lake”, a breath-taking spot, where the more adventurous people might be tempted to walk down to the sandy beach that surrounds the lake and even swim in its crystal clear waters. We also visit a hot waterfall in the middle of a forest where there is a natural pool with a temperature of about 30ºC to 35ºC. The tour includes visits to a pineapple plantation, ceramic factory and liqueur factory
